Former CST Award Winner Recognized by CIHR

The University of Alberta Tele-Opthalmology Group lead by Dr Matthew Tennant is the recipient of the CIHR National/International Knowledge Translation Award.

Mo Watanabe Lecture Available to View in Webcast

New Brunswick announces new licensure for telemedicine

The College of Physycians and Surgeons of New Brunswick has taken a novel and refreshing approach to the licensure of out of province physicians wishing to practise telemedicine in New Brunswick.

Telehealth in Canada - Leading the eHealth Journey

Abstract - This presentation will survey the activities and projects under way in all the jurisdictions across Canada. There is a move in many jurisdictions to converge telehealth with ehealth and, given that telehealth represents the "sharp end" of e-health in this context, telehealth is taking a firm lead to ensure that patients' services are foremost. Participants will be encouraged to offer their observations and opinions especially with respect to how family centered care can integrated into the telehealth vision and how we might promote enrol paediatricians as champions of telehealth as they find themselves working in an increasingly ICT assisted healthcare system.

ATA Establishes Training Program Accreditation Process

Past-President Laurie Poole has been invited to join an ATA Committee assigned the task of reviewing applications for the newly established ATA Telemedicine Training Program Accreditation process.
